St Martins Point Storm

It's hard to explain the emotion I went through to get this image. I can only describe it as both a respect and fear of the situation I was presented with.
A huge storm swell was completely engulfing the small causeway leading out to the beacon and memories of standing there in calmer times made me realise just how unforgiving the sea can be. With the waves breaking so fearcely I could get no closer and had to position myself behind a rocky outcrop in order to keep the spray off the lens and gain a vantage point over the lighthouse.
